How to Use Google Maps to Help Your SEO

In every piece of content we put on our website, we want to tell Google two things: What we do, and where we do it.

One of the easiest ways to tell Google over and over again where your business is located and what areas of town you serve is by embedding Google Maps strategically throughout your website.

If you have a physical address where customers visit, embed the Google map for that location in the footer of your website.

If you are shooting a portrait session at a local park, write a blog post about the session, mentioning the location, and embed the map at the bottom of the post.

If you are offering a service at a customer’s home, say you're a plumber fixing a leaky pipe, you don’t want to share the home address, but you can definitely share the city map, or a map of the neighborhood where you’re working.

To embed a Google map, follow the steps below.
